Power Potential with AT³, the 6-month Advanced Technology Technician Training program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, & abilities essential for a successful career as a technician in the micro and nano industries. The virtual program runs from July 11, 2025 to December 5, 2025, so read on for more application details!

Engage in weekly Friday Zoom meetings hosted by MNT-EC (Micro Nano Technology Education Center).
Complete challenges in the MNTFolio online ePortfolio.
Complete three core modules using TAP3D virtual reality simulations.
For the AT3 Program earn up to $1,000 in stipends and for the AT3 Connections Program earn up to $250 in stipends on completing all requirements.
Receive application support for internships in tech fields.
Participate in optional, additional sessions in January and February 2026 focused on placement and preparation for spring/summer research experiences.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Must have a U.S. Social Security Number.
For the AT3 Program - must be a U.S. community college student or technical college student enrolled in an accredited technical education program.
For the AT3 Connections Program - must be a U.S. high school student or community college student planning to attend or transfer to a STEM program at a 4 year college or university.
Students must be enrolled in at least one STEM education course in Fall 2025.

Students enrolled in a technical education program or taking a technical education course in the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. AT3 Applicants are students looking to find an internship or employment in the next 6-12 months as a technician.

Yes, depending on how close you are to graduation. Program participants must be enrolled in technical education courses in both the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2025/2026 academic year.

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units each semester of the program.

Access to a faculty mentor is preferred to ensure student participants receive adequate support and guidance. However, identifying a faculty mentor at the time of application is not required.

Friday, July 11, 2025, via Zoom (the program runs until December 5, 2025 with additional sessions in January and February 2026 focused on placement and preparation for spring/summer research experiences.

Students who receive an offer letter will have until June 5, 2025, to confirm their participation.

Once a year - stipends will be sent at the end of the program.

Must be in good standing with the program showing regular attendance at Friday virtual meetings, completing training and other assignments (see additional details below).

For students in AT3, who have attended or watched 75% of Zoom sessions (or completed eight MNTFolio Challenges) and completed the pre- and post- surveys for the program and the TAP 3D assessments will be provided a $1,000 stipend.
For students in AT3 Connections, who have attended or watched 75% of Zoom sessions (or completed eight MNTFolio Challenges) and completed the pre- and post- surveys for the program and the TAP 3D assessments will be provided a $250 stipend.
Complete program surveys on the effectiveness of the AT3 initiatives and VR simulation activities.

The TAP3D virtual reality simulations can run on either a VR headset or a desktop/laptop.

Students must have a valid email address to create their TAP account.
Students need to have internet access.
Students must have access to a computer that can run an internet browser.
Student's computer should have ASWD keys, or arrow keys, and a touchpad or mouse.
